32nd annual IVNS Pumpkin Patch
October 22nd turned out to be an absolutely beautiful fall day and in so many ways other than the weather the Pumpkin Patch turned out to be a great success. It was my first one, but it definitely felt like a family event that we will continue to make a tradition every year. My girls had a blast, and I'm pretty sure that all the kids who attended would agree that it was a day to remember. The IVNS parents and board members who devoted hours and hours of their time in preparation for the Pumpkin Patch deserve my utmost thanks and appreciation for their hard work - because of your dedication the Pumpkin Patch was a memorable Saturday for all who attended. Our high school volunteers were also a huge help, and we were able to set-up and take down within a short amount of time due to their support. I also thank them for "manning" our carnival game booths, painting faces, and even wearing their high school mascot costume (go Highlanders!). Speaking of mascots we also had a brief and exciting visit from Smokey the Bear (thank you NTFD) - who is one of my all time childhood favorites. I remember when he used to visit my Kindergarten class in the library at Kings Beach elementary. And lastly, thank you to all of the local businesses who donated to our event - we had some really nice items up for auction and in our raffle - all due to your support for IVNS. Thank you to everyone for making the 32nd annual Pumpkin Patch a day to remember! Enjoy the photos.
